Facebook to hold first Information Security Career Meet-up for Students

Julian Nagler from Facebook’s Information Security team has announced the first virtual meet and greet scheduled for students next Friday, March 20th, 2015.

Facebook is making this effort to help increase student interest to meet the growing demand for qualified talent in the information security careers and the negative impact that system vulnerabilities is having on the industry and the safety of the Internet at large.

Julian said “We’re committed to doing whatever is within our power to change this reality.”

This will be a fantastic opportunity for students to ask any questions they may have about careers in information security, the ins and outs of various jobs within the field, or any other pressing questions they may have.

The focus of the event is not recruiting, but on presenting the attractiveness of a career in information security.
Students can RSVP to the event
here, and submit any questions they’d like addressed to meetsecurity@fb.com

The event will be hosted via livestream here
