Resources To Better Engage Students in Computer Science

The Computer Science Teachers Association recently announced a new website has been developed for teachers by the National Center for Women & Technology in partnership with Google.

The website, called
EngageCSEdu encourages the development of more inclusive learning environments in introductory computer science courses by helping faculty to easily browse, contribute, and review materials that will engage all of your students. This collection offers thousands of high-quality, open source course materials for introductory computer science courses.

The goal of this initiative is to establish a more diverse computing workforce by retaining women and other underrepresented groups in undergraduate CS education. Many things influence retention in CS, but having a great experience in introductory courses is important.
